Choose Hard for Body, Mind, & Soul
THE FIRST HUNDRED
WHY FOUNDING MEMBERSHIP
Podvig Letters is beginning with one hundred Founding Members—people willing not merely to subscribe to something finished, but to help bring something worth preserving into being.
Your membership supports the first year of printed letters and the practices, resources, and shared life that will grow around them. You enter not simply as a reader, but as one of those who helped begin the work.

THE COMMONPLACE
Read, remember, and gather what is worth carrying.
Each month, a physical Podvig Letter arrives at your home. The Letter introduces a person or theme and leads into a month of reading, embodied practice, and spiritual attention through the three paths of Podvig.
THE MONTHLY JOURNEY
The Letter Is the Beginning
THE GYMNASIUM
Train the body through deliberate, sustained practice.
THE DESERT
Make room for prayer, attention, and inner formation.
A FOUNDER'S PRIVILEGE
Keep Your Own Commonplace
For centuries, readers have kept commonplace books—personal collections of passages, observations, questions, prayers, and ideas worth remembering. A commonplace book is not quite a journal or a planner. It is a place to gather what you encounter so that you can return to it, connect it with other things, and carry it into your life.
The book pictured here is the first sample I had made. It is beautiful, but I have found that I reach far more often for a simple Field Notes-style notebook because it is easier to carry with me throughout the day. So before producing the Founders' edition, I want the Founding 100 to help choose the form they would actually use.
Once enough Founders have gathered, I will send a short survey with several possibilities and produce the edition they choose. Founding Members will receive first access at production cost.
A PERMANENT PLACE
You Were Here at the Beginning
There will only ever be one Founding 100.
Each Founding Member will receive a permanent number, recorded with their name in the Podvig Roll of Founders. It is not a ranking or a reward. It is a record that you believed in this work while it was still being built—and helped bring it into being.
Your Founding number will remain yours and will never be reassigned. Whatever Podvig becomes in the years ahead, you will have a permanent place in its beginning.
A FIRST INVITATION
Before the Doors Open
Founding Members will be the first invited into new Podvig gatherings, cohorts, retreats, and limited offerings as they take shape.
Not every future offering will be included in membership. But Founders will hear first, receive first access when space is limited, and receive a special Founders’ discount where applicable.
WHAT YOU ARE JOINING
A Shared Work of Formation
Podvig is not simply a stream of content to consume. It is a shared attempt to recover practices worth keeping—and to carry them into ordinary life.
We read with attention. We train the body. We make room for prayer. We return to the work again and again.
Behold. Practice. Become.
